In 1974, a small group of college graduates, inspired by a calling from God, moved into Roosevelt Park, a low-income neighborhood in southwest Grand Rapids. They opened their doors to serve the community’s children, planting the seeds of what would become a thriving school community. Today, The Potter’s House serves over 650 students, representing a vibrant tapestry of cultures and backgrounds, with families from more than 35 countries and speaking over 10 different languages. We are a school open to all—welcoming students and families from every background, culture, and income level.

Through God’s faithfulness, we have grown beyond our dreams, supported by a dedicated community that believes in the power of Christ-centered education. With less than 30% of our budget covered by tuition, we rely on the generosity of supporters to make high-quality education accessible to all.
