César Chávez Social Justice March

On March 14, The Potter’s House continued our annual tradition of hosting the César Chávez Social Justice March in partnership with the Committee to Honor Cesar Chavez. The event was attended by students and adults alike, including guests from The Potter’s House and surrounding schools and government leaders. The uplifting social justice march included performances by singers, dancers, and drummers. Several speakers including our own Mr. Booy gave comments at the event.

Check out WZZM’s coverage of the event here for more information. They noted, “The purpose is to honor the civil rights leader and his efforts to bring about non-violent social change. Chávez was a champion of similar social justice reforms. He helped to organize the United Farm Workers of America, which he led for more than 30 years.”

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
